Total Knee Replacement

Total Knee Replacement - Knee Surgeon in Hobart

When arthritis severely damages the knee, total knee replacement is a safe and effective way to relieve pain and restore movement.

Patient-specific (PSI) guides

Mr Shalinder Sadiq uses patient-specific (PSI) guides, personalised cutting guides designed from an MRI scan of your knee. The same technology produces a life-size 3D model of your knee, helping tailor the procedure to your individual anatomy.

WORTH KNOWING
PSI guides are custom-made instruments used to help position a standard, off-the-shelf implant, which is different from a fully custom-manufactured implant. If your anatomy would benefit from a custom-made implant itself, see our Custom Knee Replacement page.
